Refections. day 38 of being 18
Happiness. An elusive feeling. Why does one not feel happy? Is there something missing? Something you want so desperately, but you cannot get it? So close, yet so far. Would it be easier to look at the things you have and appreciate having it? Would that make one happy? Or fulfilling one's wishes. Would that make one happy? Sunsets and sunrises. Rainbows and butterflies. Snowflakes and hot chocolate. Why do these things make one happy? Is it the good memories linked to such objects? Or is it the biological changes that make one feel happy? Happiness. Maybe, just maybe, one day we'll find it.

11) The list goes on...
There are 7 billion people in the world, people are always thinking about finding one, the one. Assuming the world has an equal number of males and females, that would be approximately 3.5 billion girls. The odds of finding the one is 1 in 3.5billion. Sad huh..
On a brighter note, since there are 7 billion people in the world, we can make more friends, and let all the assholes and backstabbers begone from your friends list. If only everyone would make more friends, to accept stranger's greetings, to change people's perspective of the society's norm. where a stranger is a potential friend rather than some guy or girl with an ulterior motive. And similarly, this world would be a better place if we do not misplace people's trust, and vice versa.
Making new friends is such fun, it is a joy to be able to find another person to talk to, to laze the day with or just have a conversation over coffee. Your friend may share the same hobbies with you, or maybe not. You may have things in common with them but not always. Sometimes the quality of materials seem to diminish/amplify when one is surrounded by friends. Branded goods do not matter anymore, and even goods that are bought from flea markets may seem so much more beautiful than top notch designer bags that cost a bomb.
It is a new year, have a fresh start, make new resolutions, be more accepting, more mature in thought, more thankful, and last but not least, be happy, for happiness is infectious and that there bringing happiness to others is a joy in itself.
Happy New Year! May 2012 bring happiness and health!
